Bonnie is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer through the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and has owned her own dog training business, A Better Canine, since 2001. In addition to teaching pet dog classes and doing behavioral consultations, she also instructs agility classes at Tails-U-Win!

Bonnie began her agility career in 1999, and is now both a local and national competitor. She has consistently had the top ranked agility dogs for 2 different breeds, earning MACH titles on multiple dogs. In 2009, not only did Bonnie compete with the #1 and #2 Whippets in the country, Ghillie also earned the AKC Top Agility Dog award for the Hound Group. Bonnie’s passion for agility and competitive nature has resulted in her striving to be the best at what she does,  and she is constantly learning about and teaching the most up-to-date training  and handling methods.

Bonnie is one of the few top agility competitors who can also teach & inspire at all levels of students. She has helped countless students achieve their agility goals and emphasizes having a solid foundation, as well as maximizing the use of reinforcement for learning and motivation. Her positive outlook and understanding of how both people and dogs learn, along with her ability to break skills down to all levels, enables teams to grow and become successful. She specializes in helping handlers and their canine teammates overcome performance obstacles and achieve success in training and competition. At the same time, she injects fun and play into her classes.
